"Hanna" is a beautiful bay mare, just under 16.1hh  She started off her show career in carriage driving with Tobey Boyce as a young and very green horse.  She quickly proved she had what it took by consistently placing in the ribbons in very large classes against seasoned veterans of many breeds.  She then took a break from showing to have a colt, Canada's Independent Dream.  I started her under saddle after her colt was weaned, following the principles of classical dressage.  She has been shown by a novice rider in Hunt Seat Pleasure and Dressage.  She earned the respect of judges and spectators alike for not only her beautiful natural motion but her kind and generous nature with a truly novice rider.  We had the honor of competing at a dressage show with none other than Bettina Drummond (protege of Nuno Oliviera).  Ms Drummond was so impressed by, and complimentary of,  Hanna's natural motion that she excused herself from her students just to watch her show!  We have attended classical dressage clinics with Tina Cope (herself a student of Bettina Drummond) and driving clinics with Olaf Nyby, an internationally known driving competitor from Norway.  Hanna will again take a break from competing to be bred.  Watch for her foal in 2006!
